13 terrorists killed, 7 hideouts destroyed in North Waziristan

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan military launched air strikes early Saturday morning in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan killing 13 terrorists and destroying seven hideouts.
According to an ISPR press release, terrorists fired rockets on a security forces check post in Mir Ali. The military launched air strikes in the area and most of the 13 terrorists killed were foreigners. A huge cache of arms and ammunition was also destroyed.

Three terrorists including one Uzbek was apprehended from Boya area. In Degan, two explosive laden vehicles were destroyed through an aviation strike. Two suicide bombers were identified and chases who exploded themselves when encircled close to Boya.

The consolidation of cleared areas in Miranshah and DattaKhel road continues. Six prepared motorcycle borne IEDs and two vehicle borne IEDs, two 12.7mm guns, one 14.5 mm gun, three vehicles, 11 suicide jackets and a huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered during the last 24 hours in Khar Warsak and Zartangi areas.

Meanwhile relief operation for IDPs at Bannu, DI Khan, Tank and Peshawar continues at full pace. 96,533 ration packs each of 110 Kilogram have been distributed among IDPs.1,012 ton rations have been collected so far at 59 relief collection points established by Pakistan Army throughout the country, bulk of which have been transported to Bannu.

Army doctors have been specially moved to reinforce local medical effort at Bannu and are busy in providing relief to patients. 12,587 patients have been treated at the Field Medical Hospital established at Khalifa Gul Nawaz hospital Bannu by Army.
