Captain Mujahid laid to rest in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Captain Mujahid Bashir, who was martyred in cross-border attack in Bajaur by Afghan militants, has been laid to rest in a local graveyard in Islamabad, Geo News reported.

Earlier, a large number of relatives, military officials and common men attended his funeral prayers, held in G/9 area.

Speaking to media, father of Captain Mujahid said he was proud of his son who sacrificed his life for Allah Almighty and the country. He said Mujahid raised the head of the family by scarifying his life for Pakistan.

Three security personnel including were martyred when militants from Afghanistan attacked Pakistani check-post in Bajaur Agency.

Security sources said militants attacked a check-post in border area Ghakhipas in Tehsil Mamund from Afghanistan’s Kunar. As a result, a captain and two soldiers were martyred and two others sustained injuries.
