PUC conference on Palestine today

LAHORE: Pakistan Ulema Council’s Lahore chapter will hold “Palestine Solidarity Conference” in Lahore on Sunday.
The conference will be attended by the leaders of different political and religious parties in the country as well as representatives of non-Islamic religions. This was stated by PUC Central Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi in a statement. He said that the criminal silence of the Muslim world and international community over Israeli aggression on Gaza is unacceptable. Israel is committing genocide against innocent men, women, children and elderly in Gaza whereas the Muslim world, United Nations and America are playing the role of a silent spectator.
The PUC chairman further said that the Pakistani prime minister’s condemnation of Israeli aggression is not enough. Pakistan should instantly convene a conference of Muslim rulers and come up with a clear policy against Israeli aggression. He said that the Palestine Solidarity Conference will be attended by Muslim leaders as well as representatives of non-Islamic religions in Pakistan. Palestinian ambassador to Pakistan, Waleed Abu Ali, will make a telephonic address at the conference.
