1 civilian martyred, 4 injured in firing over LoC

 

SIALKOT: At least one villager was killed and four including two women sustained injuries in Indian Border Security Force (BSF)’s unprovoked overnight firing in Charwa and Harpal sectors here, Geo News reported.
Punjab Rangers taking effective measures retaliated the Indian BSF unwarranted firings.
Pakistan Army sources said that Indian BSF started firing and shelling with heavy weapons at around 12.30 P.M. in which one Mohammad Iqbal, 45 resident of village Thatti was martyred, while four persons including two women and one child sustained injuries at Harpal. Besides, three cattle of the villagers were also killed.
The injured were shifted to Sialkot Allama Iqbal Hospital.
The villagers said that the Indian forces resort to unprovoked firing and shelling mostly during Ramazan and on the occasion of Muslim festivals like Eid.
