PM felicitates Obama on US Independence Day
APPISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday conveyed his heartfelt felicitations to United States President Barack Obama and the American nation on their independence day commemorated on July 4.
The prime minister, in a letter to the US president, said, “The two nations are bound by ideals of freedom, democracy and human rights. We are committed to consolidating this relationship into a broad and enduring partnership.”
According to a PM House statement, Nawaz Sharif assured Obama that Pakistan would continue to further strengthen bilateral beneficial relations and enhanced cooperation for the benefit of the two countries. He wished continued progress and prosperity to the people of the US.
Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan valued the confidence and understanding that existed at the leadership level between the two countries.
