Raid at KMC’s office was carried out under FIA command: Rangers
KARACHI: Sindh Rangers spokesman has stated that raid at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s Land and Revenue and Engineering departments, located at the Civic Centre, was carried out under the command of the Federal Investigation Agency.
The Rangers spokesman said, the paramilitary force was providing security to FIA team during the raid, adding that the data seized is in the custody of FIA.
On Friday, Rangers and FIA carried out a raid at the KMC’s Land and Revenue and Engineering departments located at the Civic Centre.
The sources told Geo News that the raid was carried out with the consent of higher authorities. They said Director Land of the KMC Jahangir Baloch was also present during that raid and the FIA carried out the search operation.
The sources said the data of the two departments was seized during the raid.
They said the office of the Land and Revenue Department is located on the third floor of the Civic Centre, adding that no arrest was made during the raid.
