Pakistan, Afghanistan forces agree to shun border skirmishes
PESHAWAR: The armed forces of Pakistan and Afghanistan Wednesday held delegation-level talks to discuss bilateral issues including improving the border coordination mechanism and vowed to shun sub-tactical level skirmishes at the border.
The two sides agreed to improve bilateral coordination to avoid incidents like a July 1 border clash in Angoor Ada over controversial construction of a gate at the crossing point by the Pakistani side.
The Afghan delegation was led by Brigadier General Rahim Abdul Qadir while the Pakistani side was headed by Brigadier Amir Ahsan.Courtesy www.thenews.com.pk
