Imran Khan's sister tenders apology to Maryam Nawaz
LAHORE: Uzma Khan, sister of PTI chief Imran Khan, tendered a written apology to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz, after it became clear it wasn't her convoy that had harassed her.
Two days after she had mistakenly accused Maryam Nawaz's protocol of harassing her during an alleged VIP movement, Uzma Khan wrote an apology to Maryam Nawaz and asked Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to launch an inquiry into the matter.
She further added that the police’s ignorance about the identities of various armed convoys plying the streets in Lahore highlights their incompetence.
According to Uzma, a man named Mr Asim Gujjar, whom she did not know, lied to her and told her that the security detail belonged to Maryam Nawaz.
She also claimed in her letter that after she had followed one of the cars into a house, one of the guards threatened to shoot her daughter if she didn't move.
