Sindh to remain on security high alert for Eid

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal has issued orders to keep the security at high alert during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

In this regard, the Home Minister has tasked the police to come up with a comprehensive and integrated plan to keep the security situation in the province in check. I.G.Sindh has been asked by the Home Minister to prepare a comprehensive plan to provide security on Eid prayers and Chand Raat everywhere in Sindh, including Karachi.

The Home Minister called on all I.Gs, AIGs and SSPs to implement the plan. He also directed police to ensure foolproof security and make arrangements regarding the protection of people during Eid prayers. He also called for increasing police patrolling around Eidgahs and Imambargahs as well as snap checking.

Siyal also directed authorities to have parking areas checked via Bomb Disposal Squads where large number of people would gather. He also called for close circuit cameras and human intelligence to work in harmony for the welfare of the people.

He also directed proper security for parks, recreation centres and sea view to be properly monitored. He also directed the D.I.G. Traffic to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the three days of Eid as well as Chand Raat.
