Chandio suggests including Edhi's social services in syllabi

KARACHI: Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Information and Archives, Moula Bakhsh Chandio visited the office of the late legendary social leader Dr Abdul Sattar Edhi in Mithadar here, on Monday.

He expressed condolences with Faisal Edhi on the demise of his father, a statement said. He remained with him for some time and extended sympathies to him and his family members. He also assured Faisal that the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) government would continue its support to Edhi Foundation for the social and humanitarian services besides carrying on Edhi's mission of serving humanity.

Talking to the media on this occasion, the advisor said that Dr Edhi was a legendary social leader and a great philanthropist of Pakistan. “Edhi was the son of Sindh and we are much thankful to his services,” he said. He added that Dr Edhi will be remembered for centuries for his noble services.

The advisor also said that Dr Edhi was a great social leader of Pakistan and therefore, his social services should be incorporated in the education syllabi. While answering a question, he said that we will make a big decision about the support to the Edhi Foundation after return of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
