Britain remains supportive to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: British Prime Minister Theresa May met with her counterpart, Nawaz Sharif, to highlight strong relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that his government greatly valued their country’s long association with the UK as a close ally and a trusted partner.

“He reaffirmed our commitment to support Pakistan’s democratic development,” noting Nawaz’s progress in restoring his country’s economic stability and improving its security said a news spokesman. “Britain would continue to be a close and dependable friend of Pakistan,” the British prime minister concluded.
