Opposition rejects Sindh budget saying it’s ‘anti-people’

KARACHI: Opposition parties in Sindh Assembly have rejected the provincial budget presented by Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Saturday.

After agitating and shouting slogan during the budget speech the leader of the opposition Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan told the media that government has been failed to present realistic budget.

He said the opposition has rejected the "anti-people" budget presented by the Sindh government.

“Ramazan package was nowhere to be found in the proposed budget, even though costs of edibles have been skyrocketing,” he said.

Talking about the development funds for Karachi and Hyderabad he said it is too small an amount for a very large need.

He said opposition could throw papers and pencils on Chief Minister during the budget speech. Now it’s our turn to speak and government would have to listen passionately.
