MQM delegation visits Edhi to inquire about his health

KARACHI: A delegation of the Muttahid Quami Movement (MQM) met ailing philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi at a private hospital in the city.

According to details, a handout by the party stated that a MQM delegation had paid Edhi a visit to inquire after his health. MQM member Rauf Siddiqui wished for Edhi's health during the visit and also presented him with the water which is used to bath the Holy Kaaba.

Abdul Sattar Edhi, Pakistan's most renowned Karachi-based philanthropist, is currently undergoing medical treatment owing to his illness. On Sunday, daughter of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Aseefa Bhutto, also paid the ailing man a visit to inquire about his health.

Aseefa expressed her good wishes and concern for Edhi's wealth. Earlier, former Pakistani President and PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari had offered to pay for Mr Edhi's treatment abroad. However, Edhi had denied and instead expressed his desire to be treated in Pakistan.
