Bilawal to make important changes in Sindh govt

LAHORE: It seems as if the Pakistan Peoples Party, spearheaded by Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, has decided to make important changes in the Sindh government well before the 2018 general elections.

According to sources, changes are likely to take place in the upcoming few days as a new Speaker, Deputy Speaker and some changes in the cabinet are expected to assume their respective offices.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will seek his father Asif Ali Zardari's advice in Dubai before making the important changes.

Source revealed that for the post of Speaker of Sindh Assembly, the names of Nisar Khuhro and Dr Sikandar Mandhro were under discussion. Meanwhile, Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani will be handed an important portfolio in the province.

Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly Shehla Reza will be appointed as the provincial minister for education while her post of Deputy Speaker will be taken over by Iram Khalid.

Provincial minister for local bodies Jam Khan Shoro and Interior Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal are also likely to be relieved of their posts.

Sources have disclosed that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari can announce these changes anytime after returning from his trips to Dubai and Kashmir.

The Bhutto scion has been issuing statements against PM Nawaz Sharif ever since the Panama leaks issue came to the fore and has been actively calling for the Pakistani Premier to resign and present himself for accountability.
