Global response needed to check terror: COAS
BERLIN: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif Tuesday said terrorism warrants a global response as it has morphed in to a global phenomenon, according to a tweet by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
“Synergy by all will be required to effectively win,” said the army chief, who is on an official visit to Germany.
General Raheel Sharif met the German foreign minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin. During the meeting, the discussion focused on bilateralism and peace and security in the region. The German foreign minister acknowledged Pakistan’s contribution to the war on terror and assured full support for Pakistan’s efforts for peace and stability in the region, said another tweet by the ISPR.
