CM orders rangers to step up security operation in Karachi

Qaim directs Bilal Akbar to arrest Amjad Sabri’s murderers

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday directed Rangers Director General Maj Gen Bilal Akbar to step up the Karachi operation.

Qaim directed Major General Bilal Akbar to hunt down terrorists responsible for the murder of Amjad Sabri, who was gunned down on Wednesday in Karachi’s Liquatabad area.

Earlier, the Rangers chief chaired a high-level meeting in which it was decided to launch an offensive against terrorists who were harming the peace of the city.

The meeting discussed the situation following the murder of Amjad Sabri and kidnapping of Owais Ali Shah, a son of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah.
