Imran says govt seems unwilling to agree upon ToRs
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday stated said that the government seemed unwilling to agree upon the Terms of References (TORs) catering the investigation of the Panama Leaks issue proposed by the Opposition.
Khan while addressing the media said that that a reference regarding the disqualification of the Prime Minster has been filed in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) by PTI.
He said that if justice was not provided by ECP, the party will head to the Supreme Court (SC).
He added that the intra-party elections were delayed in order to organize PTI to protest against the Panama Leaks issue.
He stated that process of accountability should begin from PM Nawaz Sharif and should then be carried out against other leaders.
The PTI Chairman said that it has been mentioned in the assets of the Prime Minster that his daughter Maryam Nawaz is under his guardianship. He questioned how could Maryam who is dependent on her father own offshore companies.
He stated that PM should resign over hiding his assets. He said that if PML-N believed in democracy, the party would have made the Prime Minister to resign and appoint another PM in his place until the Panama Leaks issue gets investigated.
Khan said that those individuals who were criticizing the funds allocated to the madaris had no awareness regarding the dynamics of the society. Should we forget the 22,000 students who are studying in the madaris, Khan inquired.
During his conversation with the media Khan also said that he was deeply saddened over the murder of qawwali singer Amjad Sabri.
