JIT to probe Sabri’s death, Owais Shah’s kidnapping cases

CM House spokesperson says JIT will comprise officers of police, intelligence agencies

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has thrown his weight behind forming a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe the death of renowned qawwal Amjid Sabri and kidnapping of Owais Shah, the son of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah.

A spokesperson for the CM House said that the JIT will comprise officers of police and intelligence agencies. The team will interrogate the suspects who have been arrested so far in the two cases. Sindh Police chief AD Khawaja said that the police were currently investigating both the cases.
