Zardari felicitates Hindus
ISLAMABAD: Former president Asif Ali Zardarti has felicitated Hindus on the commencement of Holy by extending heartiest greetings to the Hindu community on the beginning of Holy the festival of colours, celebrations and joy. In a statement, Zardari prayed that may the festivities associated with Holy usher in peace, prosperity and joy not only in the lives of Hindus but in the lives of all peoples. Holy also symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and of light over darkness. May the Holy celebrations this year mark a leap forward for the forces of good over the forces of evil and may the festivities bring true happiness to all, he said. Zardari said that PPP believes in upholding the cause of non Muslim minorities in the country be that Hindus, the Christians or other non Muslims and integrating them in the national mainstream. On this occasion I wish to assure all non Muslim minorities that the party will do everything to facilitate and encourage them play an effective and meaningful role in national development. I am confident that the Hindus and our other non Muslim brethren will continue to make their valuable contributions for the prosperity of Pakistan and promoting inter-faith harmony”, he stated.
