The PM was accompanied by Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Eshrat-ul-Ebad at Super Highway.

In the first phase, the motorway will be constructed from Karachi to Hyderabad.
The Karachi-Lahore Motorway would be completed in five phases in two and a half years.

The motorway will facilitate people commuting between Karachi and other major cities of the country including Sukkur, Badin, Ghotki, Rohri, Dadu, Pano Aqil, Abro, Rahim yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Zahir Pir, Jalalpur Peerwala Abdul Hakim, Mamo Kajan and Nankana Sahib.

PM Nawaz called the motorway his dream and said that he wanted to link Lahore-Islamabad Motorway to Karachi in 1991.

He added that the government wants to cover Pakistan in a web of motorways to bring the provinces closer. He hoped not only to develop a motorway from Karachi to Peshawar but to Kabul and eventually central Asia as well.
