Police were in contact with Rangers during ‘90’ raid: Thebo

KARACHI: Karachi Police Chief, Ghulam Qadir Thebo has revealed that police were in contact with Rangers officials during raid at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters, Nine Zero.

Addressing the businessmen at a ceremony, Thebo said Rangers and Police are carrying out Karachi operation jointly, adding that this operation will continue till government wants it.

“Over 48,000 people have been arrested during Karachi operation”, said Thebo, adding that, “Peace in the city will be restored sooner if police, courts and jails fulfill their responsibilities.”

The police chief went on to say that like crime in the port city, they will also control strikes in Karachi. He said they will make all the stakeholders understand that such strikes only bring losses.
