JI and PTI to contest LG polls togather

ABBOTTABAD – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have decided to contest forthcoming local bodies elections togather with mutual cooperation in the district.

This was decided in a meeting held here on Wednesday. A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) led by district chief Abdul Razaq Abbassi met the PTI divisional leader Ali Asghar Khan at his office and discussed the strategy to contest the elections jointly.

Abdul Razak Abbassi said that we were fully prepared for the LG elections and have suitable candidates but will contest with cooperation of the PTI in the district. He further said that we believed in distribution of power at the grassroot level for democracy and its impact on the masses. Abdul Razaq Abbassi said that we would declare Malakpura a model Union Council.
