Senate chairman calls on PM

ISLAMABAD – Newly elected Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani on Friday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Priome Minister’s House.
The prime minister congratulated the Senate chairman on assuming his new responsibilities and hoped that during his term in office, he would play a positive role in strengthening the democratic institutions of Pakistan. He said that the government had been taking all political parties on board on the issues of national importance to find their solutions.
Raza Rabbani thanked the Pakistan Muslim League-N leadership for supporting his candidature, enabling him to get elected unopposed.
