Rehman Malik welcomes govt, PTI agreement on Judicial Commission

ISLAMABAD - The Political Jirga Convener Senator Rehman Malik here on Saturday welcomed the agreement between Pakistan Muslim League- N (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the formation of Judicial Commission.

He said that the opposition jirga tried its best to smooth out the deadlock between the two parties which at last came to its fruitful end, said a press release issued here. He said, “Bringing solution to every political matter through reconciliation and table talks in the parameters of Constitution of Pakistan is the only way forward.” He said that we must say a “big no” to the politics of quarrel and blame-game which is not only detrimental to the democracy but it also brings a bad name to the politicians. Rehman Malik said, “Pakistan is currently passing through worst situation of its history due to ongoing terrorism which needs political unity rather hysteria.”

He congratulated the nation and leadership of both PTI and PML-N on the landmark agreement. He said that reconciliation is the policy of his leader Shaheed Benazir Bhutto which was strengthened and implemented by former president Asif Ali Zardari and he will continue his struggle for strengthening democracy in Pakistan. Rehman Malik has also applauded Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Senator Ishaq Dar and PTI Secretary General Jehangir Tareen for their keen interest in bringing solution to the dispute.
