Nation’s unity shows elimination of terrorism is not far, says Mamnoon Hussain

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday said that witnessing today’s Republic Day parade has amplified the pride of Pakistanis to have strong faith in the belief that no force on earth can defeat us.

While addressing the parade participants in the newly constructed Parade Ground near Faizabad Interchange in the federal capital, he said that the nation’s unity shows elimination of terrorism is not far.

The president went on to say that it is an honour to serve this great nation as its supreme leader.

He further said Pakistan attained atomic power within as many as five decades after independence.

Hussain also said that he would visit the militant-hit areas to meet the Pakistan Army soldiers who are fighting terrorism for the security of the country, adding that he vows to continue all-out efforts to root-out terrorism.

He went on to say that Pakistan desires friendly relations with India, and wishes to resolve all issues including Kashmir through dialogue.

He also said that Afghanistan shares a rich religious harmony with Pakistan.

The president further said the United Nations (UN) has officially increased Pakistan Maritime boundary by at least 50,000 square kilometers.
