Altaf’s apology does not clear matter: Irfan Siddiqui

ISLAMABAD – In a press conference on Saturday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Irfan Siddiqui said that Altaf’s apology did not clear the matter of him defaming the institutes of national security.

Altaf Hussain while commenting on the Pakistan Army and security forces of Pakistan said that they are acting against the Pakistan and taking illegal actions in Karachi, he further asked Research and Analyst Wing (RAW) to help him.

He said very derogatory remarks against Pakistan Army and the forces in his speech soon after the press conference of SSP Rao Anwar. Upon the comments of Altaf Hussian, ISPR Director General Maj Gen Asim Bajwa spokesman took harsh notice and criticized the MQM chief and said to take strict action against Altaf Hussain.

Altaf Hussain, a day later, said in his comment that he invited RAW in Satire tone, and he begged apology saying that if anyone hurt from his remarks he pledge sorry for that. But, Irfan Siddiqui, said only asking for an apology does not resolve the matter as it is the matter of our national integrity, and Altaf said defamatory statements against the most sovereign institutes of Pakistan.

In the follow up of these statements by Altaf, condemnation resolution has been presented in both Balochistan and Sindh Assembly against MQM chief Altaf Hussain. Later in a day, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf also cleared his stance regarding Altaf Hussain’s statement saying that they will present condemnation Resolution in the Punjab Assembly on Monday.
