COAS attends funeral of martyred captain
RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Saturday attended the funeral of Captain Qasim and paid tribute to the martyr for his supreme sacrifice.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, the army chief laid wreath at the grave of Captain Qasim who embraced martyrdom after fighting valiantly in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency.
Speaking to the media after the funeral, the army chief reiterated his resolve to continue fighting against terrorism till the elimination of the last terrorist from the country. The funeral was also attended by the chief of naval staff and other senior military and civil officials.Courtesy www.dailytimes.com.pk
