NA-122 forensic report submitted to election tribunal

LAHORE: NADRA officials on Saturday submitted the forensic report pertaining to alleged rigging in NA-122 to the election tribunal.

The tribunal has submitted copies of the 781-page report to lawyers of both parties and adjourned further proceedings till next week.


According to the report, 136,000 votes were not verified in the constituency. The report found that 6,123 invalid CNICs were used, 370 votes did not have CNIC mentioned and 255 votes had duplicate CNICs.

93,582 thumbprints were not verified, 1,715 fingerprints were not present on counter-foils while 570 votes cast were not registered in the NA-122 constituency.

The report also found that 73,478 votes in the constituency were verified.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan had filed a petition against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.
