PM reaffirms resolve to restore peace in Karachi
OnlineISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed his government’s resolve to restore peace and stability to Karachi at all costs.
In a statement, he condemned the killing of DSP Zulfiqar Zaidi in a firing incident in Shah Faisal area of the city. The prime minister directed the Sindh government to beef up security in the provincial capital to avoid recurrence of such instances.
Nawaz Sharif also sought a report about the incident and emphasised the need for boosting the morale of police force as it had a key role in maintaining law and order.
