President for making IIUI a centre of excellence
APPISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday emphasised on making International Islamic University (IIUI) Islamabad, a center of excellence and urged for working with dedication to turn the university into one of the distinguished institutes in the world.
The president said this while chairing 11th meeting of Board of Trustees of International Islamic University at Aiwan-e-Sadr, said a press release.
The president expressed the hope that performance and popularity of the university would grow with the passage of time.
The president said that the decisions taken in 11th meeting of Board of Trustees would be of utmost importance in the development of the university and help resolve the financial problems of the institute as well.
President IIU Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al- Draiweesh, President Islamic Development Bank Dr Ahmed Muhammad Ali, Prof Khursheed Ahmad, justice (retd) Khalil-Ur-Rehman, justice (retd) Taqi Usmani, ex-senator Rozina Alam, Dr Khalid Masood, Dr Masood Bin Abdullah Tayyab from Saudi Arabia, Rector IIU Dr Masoom Yasinzai, Chairman HEC Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, secretary Ministry of Education Muhammad Imtiaz and Secretary Foreign Affairs Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry, among others, attended the meeting.
