President for best medical facilities to ‘solar kids’

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has directed that best medical care should be extended to the two “solar kids” and emphasised thorough research to diagnose the disease and suggest its treatment.

The president said this while meeting the neuro-development disorder affected Balochi children, Shoaib Ahmed and Abdul Rasheed, along with their father here at the presidency on Thursday.

He was briefed by State Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry about the condition of the two children and their treatment process at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

President Mamnoon directed that the children should be looked after, saying that that Pakistani doctors should thoroughly research this disease and identify the causes to suggest an effective cure to rid the children of it.

He noted with satisfaction that the doctors at PIMS were doing their best to treat the two children and advised that medical institutions in the developed countries should also be consulted to come out with concrete findings about this disease.
