QUETTA - Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq has said that injustice leads to the division of Pakistan and now issues of Balochistan can never be resolved with force rather it can be solved through talks and noble behaviour.

After a meeting with Jamhoori Watan Party leader Talal Bugti here on Saturday, Siraj told journalists that Talal has been a patriot who believed in the constitution. “Instead of pushing them against the wall, bring them close to the heart,” he said while referring to the people of Balochistan.

He said that promises made to the people of this province were not fulfilled. He demanded rehabilitation of the displaced tribesmen in their native area and fulfillment of all the promises made in the name of Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan package. He said that all the parties should rise above their political interests for the welfare of the Baloch people.

Talal said that Iran, Afghanistan, India, NATO and the EU were after Pakistan and asked the retired army officials and political forces to look after the matters. He said that there was artificial leadership in Balochistan and the situation would not improve until real leadership was in power.

Speaking at a gathering in Quetta, the Jamaat chief said that the politics has become a source of personal enrichment in Pakistan. He said that those political parties which run with the help of donations from the capitalists and landlords they adjust their policies to benefit their financers after coming to power.

He lamented that the remnants of the Mughals and Britishers did nothing for Pakistan but divided it into two pieces. He said that the rulers over the years kept the people in darkness and usurped all the resources. He said that despite being a resource-rich country, Pakistan has been made to toe the line of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

He said that Pakistanis would have to rise up like Imam Hussain (r.a.) and fight against the tyranny to get their rights.
