JI demands economic rights for Balochistan
Online

LORALAI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Monday demanded economic and constitutional rights for Balochistan’s economic uplift.
While addressing a ceremony at the residence of tribal leader Mohammad Naeem Kadezai in Kalli Dargai, the JI chief said that the province had been kept backwards under a “conspiracy”.
“Balochistan has been kept backward under a conspiracy. A province rich in mineral, agriculture and economic resources has become picture of backwardness. Drought, poverty and unemployment have shaped into crisis in Balochistan. Economic and constitutional rights will have to be given to the province for its economic uplift. Persistent backwardness, sense of deprivation and rampant unemployment has put this province on the verge of volcano,” he added.
The JI chief criticised the government officials for not addressing problems of the masses. “Had those elected with the votes of people resolved the genuine problems facing the people, these areas would not have been drifted into such an abysmal poverty and backwardness,” he added.
