PM, Army chief discuss NACTA

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif met here on Wednesday to hold consultations on the role of National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).

The prime minister and COAS agreed that the role of NACTA against terrorism must be comprehensive. The role of provincial governments in maintaining law and order must be effective.
During the meeting Army Chief General Raheel Sharif also briefed the prime minister on Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif paid rich tribute to the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism. He added the country will be rid of the menace of terrorism due to efforts of the army.
