COAS Sharif meets Afghan President Ghani
KABUL: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif met with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani. The meeting was described as positive by the ISPR.
COAS General Raheel Sharif is on a one day official visit to Afghanistan. General Sharif has meetings scheduled with Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah and Afghan civilian and military leadership.
Issues relating to cross border terrorism and drawdown of Nato forces will come under discussion during General Sharif’s meetings in Kabul.
This is the first visit by the Pakistan’s Army chief to Afghanistan since the formation of new government in Kabul.
