Will end sit-in if SC judges contradict poll rigging claims: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has called for an inquiry into election rigging allegations by Supreme Court judges.

Addressing party workers on Thursday, Khan said: “Inquiry must be held by Supreme Court judges in whom all (stakeholders) can trust”. The PTI chairman also suggested name of Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid to conduct the inquiry.

He announced that the PTI would wrap up its sit-in if rigging is not proven during the inquiry.

Khan said that he would demand Nawaz Sharif’s resignation if the judges of the top court found his allegations correct.

The PTI chairman said that formation of more provinces would not resolve issues being faced by the people.

The former cricket hero also applauded Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and termed him as an honest man who placed a list of Indian men, who had stashed their money in foreign banks, before the country’s top court.
