SC combines voter verification petitions

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday combined the voter verification petitions and scheduled the hearing of the case in December.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk heard the petitions pertaining to the voter fingerprint verification.

During proceedings the chief justice remarked that the petitions were combined through a court order. He added that there were several problems related to election matters, one of which was the verification of votes.

The chief justice stated that the court would have to see if NADRA would verify votes on the orders of the election tribunal.
