5 security men, 15 militants killed in Orakzai, Bannu attacks
ORAKZAI AGENCY/BANNU: Five security personnel embraced martyrdom while fifteen terrorists were killed when militants stormed the check posts in Orakzai Agency and Bannu, and anti-polio workers in Bajaur Agency.
According to security sources, three security men were martyred when militants attacked a check post in Shirin Darra area of lower Orakzai Agency. Five other personnel were also injured in the assault who were shifted to CMH Kalaya for treatment.
Militants also ambushed Maryan police check post in Bannu with a remote controlled bomb in which two security persons lost their lives while three others sustained injuries. The injured cops were shifted to CMH, Bannu.
Security forces launched a search operation in the area to apprehend the culprits.
A remote-controlled bomb blast also occurred in Tehsil Salarzai of Bajaur Agency that killed two Levies personnel deployed to protect anti-polio workers. Another security man and a political administrator were also injured in the blast.Courtesy www.thenews.com.pk
