EU supports democracy in Pakistan: Spanish envoy

KARACHI – Ambassador of Spain to Pakistan Javier Carbajosa Sanchez on Tuesday said that the European Union (EU), wants strengthening of democracy in Pakistan because the developed countries have resolved their problems with their political determination and continuity of democracy.
He said that the people of Pakistan have given many sacrifices in war against terrorism which he said that should be appreciated by the developed nations. The Spanish ambassador expressed these views while talking to Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan at Governor House here, said a statement. Talking to the Spanish envoy Dr Ebad said that Pakistan is moving towards betterment and the base of the democracy is gaining strengthen with the passage of time.
He said that the nation is a peace-loving nation which believes in supremacy of constitution and law. He said that the Pakistani nation has given exemplary sacrifices in war against terrorism. Despite unfavorable conditions, the people attached with the trade and commerce never let the wheel of economy stop, he said. The Sindh governor said that the professionals from Pakistan have proved themselves in different fields with their talents across the world.
