Court issues non-bailable arrest warrants for Imran, Qadri

ISLAMABAD – An Anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has issued arrest warrant against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) cheif Tahirul Qadri on Wednesday.

According to media reports, the court issued the warrant for attacking the Pakistan Televison (PTV) building and the parliament. The court has also issued arrest warrants for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar and PAT’s Raheeq Abbassi.

The case was registered against the PTI and the PAT at secretariat police station in Islamabad. PAT Rahiq Abbasi says the government cannot fear us with the warrant.
