MULTAN – Former president Pervez Musharraf has demanded mid-term election, saying that the 2013 elections were massively rigged.

In a telephonic address to his party workers on Wednesday, he said that there was no government worth the name and it was impossible to run Pakistan under the present system. He warned that if there was no change, the future of Pakistan would be bleak.

He said that he would challenge his disqualification for life for participating in elections. The former president said that terrorism was badly damaging the economy of Pakistan and there was need to deal with the menace with iron hands.

The workers were also addressed by All Pakistan Muslim League Secretary General Dr Amjad, Information Secretary Rashid Qureshi and other leaders.
