Afghan President Ghani meets PM Nawaz
ISLAMABAD: President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani Saturday received a warm welcome in a formal ceremony as he arrived at the Prime Minister’s House here for tete-a-tete with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
The Prime Minister received the visiting dignitary on his arrival at the PM House.
On the occasion the national anthems of both the countries were played. The smartly turned out contingent of armed forces presented guard of honour to the foreign dignitary.
Afghan President inspected the guard of honour before the introduction by him and the Prime Minister of each other’s delegations.
This followed the one-on-one meeting between Afghan President Ashraf Ghani with the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif discussing bilateral and regional matters.
The pair are also expected to watch a friendly cricket match between the two countries today in a public demonstration of better relations.Courtesy www.thenews.com.pk
