Worker's death in Jhelum: PTI to register case against CM Punjab

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Shireen Mazari on Monday told that the party holds Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) responsible for the death of their worker in Jehlum and will register a murder case against Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.

It may be mentioned that nine people were injured on Sunday when gunmen opened fire at PTI supporters en route to attend the rally in Jehlum. The caravan was heading to Jhelum from Garmala to attend the rally at the Syed Zameer Jaffery Stadium when it came under armed attack.

While addressing a press conference along with another PTI leader Arif Alvihere today, Mazari broke the news that one of their injured workers, Mohammad Adnan, succumbed to injuries.

She alleged that PML-N initiated the politics of hostility by attacking the Supreme Court and questioned Pervaiz Rasheed that who was responsible for the attack on the apex court.

Mazari stated that supporting terrorists is against the PTI culture however the PML-N leaders keep on meeting the heads of militants and that the people could witness themselves that who supports the militants.

She further alleged that the government has lost its wits and demanded that the CM Punjab and the provincial government should provide protection to the political leadership. She said that the party wants to attain justice peacefully.

The PTI leader also said that her party is against any sort of hostility against journalists.
