ISLAMABAD – United Kingdom former foreign secretary David Miliband called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here at the PM House on Monday.
Matters of mutual interest and bilateral relations came under discussion during the meeting which was also attended by UK's High Commissioner to Pakistan Philip Barton. Miliband, who is the president of the International Rescue Committee also apprised the prime minister of matters relating to the committee which is a global humanitarian aid, relief and development Non Governmental Organisation (NGO).
The NGO offers emergency aid and long-term assistance to refugees and those displaced by war, persecution or natural disasters. Minister for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi were also present in the meeting.
