LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore sentenced four accused to death for killing Farzana Iqbal apparently for the sake of honour outside the Lahore High Court on May 27, 2014.

Another accused in the case Ghulam Ali was also sentenced to ten years imprisonment along with Rs 100,000 fine.

It may be mentioned that members of Farzana’s family opened fire at her outside LHC on May 27, 2014 followed by nearly a dozen men, including her father, brothers and ex-husband pelting her with stones and bricks that killed her on the spot.

She was waiting to record her statement in favour of her husband at the LHC when she was attacked and killed.
