TAXILA: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that the government would not create hindrances in the way of a peaceful rally on November 30, but would take the matter into its own hands if the situation turns violent. “If anyone wants to stage protest in Islamabad, it’s their political and democratic right, but people of the capital also have some rights, which should not be violated by chaos and disturbance by the protests,” Nisar said while talking to the media. He said that if someone tries to create chaos, “we are prepared for that too”. “There is no obstacle if anyone wants to hold a political rally on November 30, but a protocol needs to be followed,” he said, adding that the state was not too weak to stop aggression towards its capital. He said the security forces had foiled such attempts on August 31 when the PTI and PAT started their aggression towards the PM’s House. “If the PTI clarifies that they are holding a peaceful rally on November 30 then the government will facilitate them and provide security, but if they want to attack the government and state institutions then there should be no doubt that the law will take its course before the day of their rally,” Nisar warned. He advised the PTI leadership to resolve issues through talks. To a query on the presence of ISIS in Pakistan, the minister said that it was an Arab organisation and operating in the Middle East, and added that there was no presence of the ISIS in the country.
