PM directs completion of CPEC projects in time
Nawaz directs Interior Ministry to beef up security for Chinese workforce in country

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday describing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project a “game changer for the region” directed completion of all projects within stipulated time.
He was chairing a meeting to review progress on the various development projects under the CPEC here at the PM House. Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal gave detailed briefing to the prime minister. The prime minister said that China was a friend and a strategic partner of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Nawaz directed Ministry of Interior to beef up security for the Chinese workforce in the country. The prime minister said that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard. The meeting was also attended by the senior government officers.
