Qaim terms losing case against terrorist ‘a sin’
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah Thursday announced that the prosecutors who emerge successful in trials against terrorists will be rewarded while those who lose their cases will be taken to task.
“To me losing a case against terrorists is a sin,” the Sing CM said in a firm tone of voice during his meeting with Prosecutor General Sindh here.
“The prosecutors who win cases against terrorists will earn rewards but action will be taken against losers and also against the investigating officials,” he said.
In this regard, Qaim Ali Shah also directed the provincial Chief Secretary and IG Sindh to extend their complete cooperation in terror-related cases.
The above announcement has come a day after the Federal Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch explained that actually the ISPR statement on Corps Commanders conference pointed towards Sindh.
The ISPR’s statement had underlined the need for good governance and improving the process of probe by the Joint Investigation Teams.
The statement sparked a big debate in the political circles and media and impression emerged that the civilian government and military are not on the same page.
