Recent terror incidents to swell hardships for overseas Pakistanis: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Sunday said hardships and troubles of overseas Pakistanis will further increase following recent terrorist attacks including Friday’s Paris carnage in which at least 129 people were killed.

In a statement issued here, he said overseas Pakistanis were the country’s assets and their protection from all hardships was everyone’s responsibility including the government.

Nisar said his ministry with the help of foreign ministry and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will soon formulate a policy under which all overseas Pakistanis would be assisted in case of any unlawful action against them.

After terrorists, human traffickers were the main reason of Pakistan’s bad reputation abroad, said the minister, directing the FIA to formulate a strategy to counter the same within the next 48 hours.

Interior Minister Nisar also called a high-level meeting in the federal capital on Tuesday in this regard.
