Pakistan at frontline in war on terrorism: Asif

SIALKOT - Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan is at the frontline in the ongoing war against terrorism and it suffered more than any other country of the world in this regard.

Talking to reporters here on Sunday, he expressed deep grief and sorrow over the Paris attacks which resulted in the deaths of at least 129 people and injured 352 others. He condoled with the bereaved families and wished early recovery of the wounded people.

He said that the Pakistani nation and security forces had rendered matchless sacrifices in the war on terrorism as over 50,000 Pakistani nationals were martyred in acts of terrorism.

The defence minister said that terrorism was not limited to any country or region and it had spread across the globe. He urged the world community for joint efforts to curb the menace of terrorism and extremism.
